Altra Via - Puhaniz
Taste the Story
On the nose, notes of ripe and overripe grapes mingle with subtle balsamic tones and a touch of animal complexity. The palate is structured yet approachable, with slightly dusty tannins softened by the fresh acidity that comes from the high-altitude hillside vineyards. This balance gives the wine both immediate drinkability and potential for further development.
Puhaniz captures the essence of Umbrian Sangiovese in all its rustic charm. Earthy and mineral at its core, the wine combines a grounded depth with fruit-forward aromas and a taut, vibrant palate. Puhaniz is a wine made for the table, where its rustic elegance shines alongside hearty dishes.
On the label, we once again find Paolo’s favorite fairytale character. The connection with the rosé Pin is twofold. Not only are the labels linked, but also the wines themselves. Both are made from Sangiovese: the first juice, after a short skin maceration, is transformed into Pin, while the remainder continues its journey as Puhaniz.
