Taste the Story
In the glass, the wine displays a bright, intense ruby-red color. The nose is complex and elegant, offering aromas of ripe plum, cherry, blackberry, and bilberry. These fruit-driven notes are beautifully intertwined with delicate spicy nuances of juniper and coriander, complemented by subtle hints of coffee and licorice that add depth and refinement.
On the palate, the wine is solid yet agile, combining intensity with elegant suppleness. Ripe fruit takes center stage, supported by a deep, fleshy texture and a well-defined structure. The tannins are firm but polished, while fresh acidity brings energy and lift. The finish is long, dry, and layered, with gentle oak notes that enhance the wine without overpowering it.
The grapes come from a unique blend of old, traditional clones with an average age of 60 years, grown on the slopes of the historic Rosazzo site. Harvested by hand, the grapes are destemmed and macerated in stainless steel vats for 15–20 days, with frequent pump-overs and délestage. After racking, fermentation continues at a controlled temperature of 25 °C, followed by transfer to oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and approximately 12 months of ageing. A wine that combines depth, elegance, and a strong sense of place.
