Taste the Story
Made from 100% Verdea, sourced from a 25-year-old vineyard on the Piacenza hills at 300 meters above sea level, this remarkable passito wine is born on sandy, rocky soils. Harvested in September, the grape clusters are carefully laid in wooden crates and left to wither naturally for four months, concentrating sugars, aromas, and structure.
In January, the dried grapes are gently pressed using a traditional vertical wooden press. A long, slow fermentation follows, after which the wine matures for an impressive seven years in small oak barrels (caratelli), gaining depth, complexity, and harmony. Bottled by hand and made without the addition of sulfites, this is a wine of pure expression and patience.
Intense, emotional, and deeply evocative, this passito offers a profound tasting experience, rewarding each sip with layers of richness, balance, and soul.
