La Matta is Giostra's white wine experiment with the rebel grape Solaris. This grape, now often found in Belgium, is a hybrid that is able to grow in very harsh conditions. It grows where others give up, in unforgiving lands where only the strong survive.
La Matta is expressive on the nose, with a bouquet of white flowers. The wine is clean on the palate, with a persistent acidity, though very well balanced, like a blade with a purpose. It's a white wine that stands out without shouting.
