Abrigo Giovanni - Arneis Sa mai
Taste the Story
In the glass, Sa Mai shines bright straw yellow, with floral and fruity aromas dominated by chamomile and peach. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet balanced, with lively acidity, roundness, and elegant persistence. With a couple of years of bottle age, it develops further complexity, revealing notes of dried fruit and hazelnut alongside its fresh character.
Arneis is one of Piedmont’s most celebrated white grapes, prized for its ability to preserve acidity while delivering structure and depth. Appreciated both in Italy and abroad, the best vintages age beautifully, gaining richness without losing vibrancy.
The name Sa Mai is inspired by the Italian saying “Non si sa mai” — or in Piedmontese dialect, “SàMai” — meaning “You never know.” It reflects the spirit of embracing opportunities and staying open to new experiences, much like the way this wine invites you to discover its delicate complexity at the table. After all, the best opportunities are often the ones you must seize immediately.
